
RBI Releases 10th Edition of Handbook of Statistics on Indian States 2024-25
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today released the tenth edition of its flagship statistical compendium, the Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2024-25, reinforcing its continued commitment to strengthening data-driven insights into India regional economies.
Scope and Coverage
The Handbook aggregates an extensive range of sub-national indicators covering socio-demographic conditions, public health outcomes, state domestic product, agriculture, environmental indicators, consumer prices, industrial performance, infrastructure, banking outreach, fiscal position, and export profiles.

In the 2024-25 edition, the RBI introduced 11 new tables responding to growing demand for more granular insights:

- Net State Value Added (Current Prices)
- Net State Value Added (Constant Prices)
- State-wise Ground Water Extraction Status
- State-wise Revenue Expenditure
- State-wise Capital Receipts
- Market Borrowings of State Governments

- State-wise Gender-wise APY Enrolments

- State-wise Foreign Tourist Visits
Analytical Impact
